Dirty Doggie Paws

I have got into the habit now of washing my Henrys paws whenever we return home after a walk mainly because he does get in a bit of a state. I live out in the country and the farm lanes are usually quite wet and muddy. So instead of letting him run around the house making a mess everywhere i started washing his paws. I just use warm water a little of his shampoo he stands on a garden chair and i just dip each paw in the bowl and wash it. He soon learns as after i wash a paw he puts another in the water ready to be washed.
It is a good idea to wash their paws as you never know what they have trodden in chemicals, salt, oil, petrol, diesel other animals urine and we don't want our pets licking all that of their paws do we?🐶

Thats a really good idea Doc ,I wash my Poppys paws too after a dirty walk ,cant be too careful as to what theyre stepping in . She likes it too being pampered.
Being a terrier she has quite pointy little paws not like labradors big chubby pads ...but she still likes getting them wet

Yes I do similar but with fragrance free wet wipes, easier to use as I like to get them cleaned before we enter communal area so as not to annoy neighbors.

To be honest Julie I donīt know, but I think they are maybe less abrasive (not really the right word), most likely because face wipes have cream or something in them and I just assume because they are okay for me to use on my face then they must be okay for using on a dogs face too. Face first then paws. Shitzus have little flat faces and beards so they do tend to get dinner, mud and everything else all over their little faces

I'll have a look for them I try to use gentlest products on them so anything better than fragrance free I am willing to try.

No harm in trying, ChoCho certainly hasnīt come to any harm, they also leave her hair nice and shiny (she often gets an all over wipe down with them too). I donīt use expensive ones, the ones I usually get here are Cheryl Crow (whoever she is), 1 euro a pack, or Mercadona own brand, they are good too and about the same price. No idea what brands there are in UK these days but Iīm sure you will.
