That was inevitable. By the same token those of us who want health tourists to be charged for any medical treatment will be seen as racist.

Well know what?

Bring it on. If that or objecting to the disgusting diversion of RNLI funds to outside of the UK is being racist then start with me.

I think the point is that many overseas countries benefit from the UK's international aid donations already and from organisations such as Oxfam which were expressly set up for that purpose. Funds paid into the RNLI should be for the benefit of UK citizens - funding care homes, help with the homeless and many others.

First founded in 1824 as an institution to save lives from shipwrecks. Given a Royal charter in 1860.
Been going a long time, but if people wish to see the end of such an institution, then stop funding it. Simple as that.

Not end it, but stop sending anything outside of the UK.

Simples.

They are primarily for water safety, not for care homes. Only operates in two countries outside the UK waters. Must admit, buying burkinis is pushing it a bit.

Of course it would and the blame would rest firmly on the actions of the governors of the RNLI.

Blame game should not be the deciding point on whether people wish to donate or stop donating . The deciding point is, do we want to keep it, or don't we ?

Bangladesh and Tanzania are waay outside of the British isles.

But actually this disgraceful misappropriation of our donations kicked off by RNLI people and resources to Bangladesh to assist with flood relief and later to Tanzania to provide assistance with floods there.

Actually I'd forgotten about those, it was the Memsahib who reminded me while we were discussing it just now.

What the hell has happened to our country?

Of course we want to keep it, but as a UK resource only.
