I went to a wedding ...

... last Friday, took a few pics, here's one of the happy couple.

Not perfect, I managed to cut off their feet, and I could have done with a UV filter to calm the harsh light.

But I'm pleased with the frozen action ... shutter speed: 0.0003125 second, that's 1/3200 second.

I agree with Mags, dOOd.
No matter about their feet, you captured their smiles perfect.

Thanks guys

So I went back to the high res original and cropped it differently ... but it's now not looking so sharp.

Re: I went to a wedding ...

I think they all look great d00d. I would be more than happy if I took those.

Btw, is it true that professional wedding photographers purposely take their set shots with the sun in front of them so that the general public can't take good photos because they don't have the equipment?

Just something someone told me once.

I've never heard that about pro wedding photographers ... conspiracy theory or truth?

They have the advantage (or should have) of being familiar with the venue and the order of proceeding. Friday's wedding was at a very unusual, non-religious place in extensive grounds in the Cotswolds. The only time the pro togger organised guests, bride's family then groom's family, for group shots, was in a shaded part of the garden.

I wouldn't want that job, and there are so many doing it now.

Mrs LD tells me the story of a friend who's wedding photographer cocked up somewhere and none of the photos came out. This is going back long before digital photography of course. They all had to dress up in their wedding outfits again on another day and have the photos retaken.

What brilliant pictures, you really captured those happy smiles, I wouldn't have noticed that they had no feet had you not mentioned it because I was zooming in on those smiles. Lovely. I hope they will be very happy together.
