Hopefully, other majority leave voting councillors will take up the challenge and do the same. There are quite a few of them!

This would make a no deal Brexit even more likely and further strengthen Boris hands.

We have more Independent councillors than Labour, a few Labour councillors represent wards that voted leave and might give it some consideration.

It makes you wonder how many other Labour councillors realise that their party is doomed with Corbyn at the helm. Good on them and I hope more will follow their example.

I am sure PR companies employed by various political factions and individuals who support a remain agenda are being told to work 24hrs to find a way to neutralise the result in Hartlepool and find a way to discredit those who won and make the remainers look like they were the victors.
