If it's like cuddling a koala then I would imagine it would be very relaxing. (As long as it doesn't urinate on you.)

I have never heard of them but wouldn't it be easy enough to make your own?

Just get a cheap blanket bigger than your bed and sew weights into the side edges which you leave dangling over each side of the bed. Or am I missing something?

John my house was the same cold as ice and I could hardly move for the old coats on my bed .
Now I have a duvet but just lately have been using a light wool blanket on top and it feels very nice .

I know this sounds silly but I have recently discovered moving further down in the bed, taking my pillow with me. With my feet just touching the end of the bed, I have slept well for the past week or so.
