“Call me Sweetheart, call me Darling, call me Dear, say the words I am longing to hear.” from that old song. Men have always had nice names to call the ladies, in my opinion it’s meant as a compliment, my missus has some choice names for me but I would have to post them in the Ha Ha section.

do you remember when Admin used to call his female Mods (Carole, Anne, Leslie, Mags and Meg who share the sites between us ) 'babes' which I used to find endearing, he doesn't do it now.
Let's just hope he doesn't read this and start calling us old dears!
