Huge wild party

This coming Tuesday, Feb 25th is the final day of the Mardi Gras extravaganza. An annual 10 day festival where the people of New Orleans cast off their inhibitions and let loose their wildest fantasies.

yes, and each day there is/are at least one parade with floats like the one above. The organizers of each parade ride on the floats and throw gaudy multi-colored necklaces to the crowds. The final day (fat Tuesday) is the culmination, followed by Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent.
