Opinions Please

My niece died in July and Im wondering if I should send her husband a Christmas card or not. I have only met him briefly a few times ,and spoke to him on the phone a few times, while she was ill

Re: Opinions Please

If you would have sent them both a christmas card when she was alive, why stop now? Of course you should send him one i think he would appreciate it.

Re: Opinions Please

I'd send him one too ... his first Christmas will likely be a lonely time and he'll know you've thought of him.

Re: Opinions Please

I would definitely send him a Christmas card, I can't see any reason why you would stop, especially if you had sent a card to both of them other years.

Re: Opinions Please

Yep ... most definitely send him a card, even if you didn't send one to them both before.

Xmas can be a dreadful time and we all need support, however humble it may seem.

Making even a small effort to be kind/thoughtful can help enormously

I agree with others, deylon. Perhaps a slightly 'toned-down' one, with something appropriate written inside, rather than one over doing the frivolity bit.

Sometimes the ones left behind get left out simply because folks don't know what to say to them, and it's such a shame.
