Wild birds of prey

Long-eared owl hiding really well - free and wild

Female Kestrel that hovered about 30 feet above me and gave me the eye.

Short-eared owl a fair distance away with my camera settings all wrong for this shot. I was looking for a Little owl in an old building and this beauty appeared in the field behind me.

Thank you Muddy - appreciated. These shots were taken with my Nikon D500 and a 500PF lens (new to me and still trying to get used to it)

Thank you Mags - it was a bit chilly that day and a hot chocolate with doughnuts would have been nice

No problem warleyron and good shots. A lovely bird with a huge wingspan - often known as a barn door We have seen them in Scotland and the Danube Delta.
