Are politicians to be trusted ?

Mr Realist gave his blessing for me to start my own thread.......so he is not all bad.

Can we trust any politician ?

Since becoming PM the lady we are compelled to lead us out of the EU, has spent much of her time dithering and turning, so unlike the Iron Lady as to be a laughing stock.

If you are a Tory devotee it could be construed to be 'listening' and lauded as a strength.

I would interpret it as totally wishy washy and weak.

A short list

No, most certainly not. As my gran used to say, "I wouldn't trust them any further than I could spit into wind"

I think they start out with honorable intentions, but the system swallows them up...

I think they used to be that way, ex soldiers or businessmen or trades unionists that had a call to serve their countrymen.

With the relatively recent career politician, opportunists with their scholarships in psychology, business management and advertising.....................that has all ended.

Re: Are politicians to be trusted ?

No of course not. Especially at election time when they promise us the Earth, only to remove all our hopes and dreams in a "U-turn" when they realise they haven't the funds to put it all in place.
Liars all, whatever the party.
