The common cold is a coronavirus and they have been studying that and no doubt replicating it for decades. It's perfectly possible that this could have escaped via an infected animal in a research lab, but it wasn't deliberately done to cause an epidemic. Perhaps some animal rights activist is to blame.

Am I the only person who had never heard of Wuhan ( a city bigger than London ) ?
I had no idea that so many expats were living there what are they all doing ?

Have to agree Swims the more I read about it the more I'm convinced it's a massive over reaction . Unless of course we are not being told the whole truth.

Am l being pedantic or did l see the bus drivers of the convoy that
took the returning tourists from their aircraft to the isolation
hospital had no protection from getting infected by their passengers?
What will happen on monday when they pick up the schoolkids
for school, or take a load of pensioners to another town or city??
Maybe l was seeing things??
