Re: Good Morning Sunday!

Good morning everyone, and welcome to OFF Buzzby . Dull and drizzly again - oh well, getting used to it now .

Got some sewing to do today - a) sew the handwritten fabric bases onto the rope bowl gifts for granddaughter's teacher and TA, and b) make a little cushion out of a gorgeous picture my granddaughter drew with the fabric pens on a square of calico. She loves to draw and colour in, and wanted to have a go with the fabric and pens, a new medium for her. When she finished I thought, 'what a shame to just have that lying around to fray and get creased', so I suggested I make it into a cushion and she was absolutely thrilled!

So that should keep me busy for a while, and then onto making a kedgeree for dinner later, a nice quick and easy meal!

Have a good Sunday everyone - if sport is your thing then I'm sure you will!

I think it all comes down to qualifications. A psychologist is a more highly educated nutcase than a counsellor.

According to a dictionary definition a counsellor is a person trained to give guidance on personal or psychological problems:

A person trained to give guidance on personal or psychological problems: a marriage counsellor, a person who gives advice on a specified subject: a debt counsellor.

A psychologist is an expert or specialist in psychology:

A psychologist is a person who studies normal and abnormal mental states, perceptual, cognitive, emotional, and social processes and behaviour by experimenting with, and observing, interpreting, and recording how individuals relate to one another and to their environments. Psychologists usually acquire a four-year university degree, often with post-graduate work required. Unlike psychiatrists, psychologists usually cannot prescribe medication to patients. Psychologists can work with a range of institutions and people, such as schools, prisons, in a private clinic, in a workplace, or with a sports team.

Confused? Slightly, yes (maybe the advice of a psychiatrist would be useful). Generally though it would seem psychologists are more expert in the psychology of human behaviours while counsellors can give guidance on particular human problems. Providing the help they can give works alright, it wouldn't matter to me what skills they possess.

Re: Good Morning Sunday!

Morning all

I rose out of bed early for a Sunday, I usually have a loooong lay in ready for the new working week but I think I must be getting old because I woke and thought, get up Queen and don't waste the day!

Plans for today are, take Dads sunday roast up, spend an hour with him, come home, doss about on the sofa watching police interceptors whilst eating my Sunday roast. 4pm gym and swim, 6pm coffee at Macdonalds with my friend, then home to play with my beloved cricut. Even a football final can't drag me away from my favourite thing on earth.

I won't be watching but I do hope England win, can you imagine the atmosphere if we win.....My neighbours will be screaming if or when they score so no need to watch it lol.

Footballs coming home! Gimme an E, Gimme an N, Gimme a G, Gimme an L, Gimme an A, gimme an N, Gimme a D.......ENGLAND! Aren't I good, I love a bit of pom pom cheering

Enjoy the day whatever you may be doing today

Re: Good Morning Sunday!

A late good morning everyone.
It started off so nice and sunny but it rapidly clouding over now.

I have two loads of washing nearly dry, so that's good.
My hair is washed and dry, and next I must go and get the grass cut before it rains.

I am going to have some of my lovely tasty home grown carrots with my dinner today, so need to go and pull them up too.

Be good.

Re: Good Morning Sunday!

Good afternoon,

Little ones collected, toys etc put away, beds stripped. Three tired ”oldies” - mum, Katarina and me about to sit down for a well deserved large g&t and a smoke.

Enjoy your evening, football or no.
