Re: Paedophiles can't help their actions!!!!!!!

It would take a brave man to 'fess up' to the authorities about their paedophilia, knowing the repercussions that awaits them - so why are you all so surprised they go to ground.

I'm not advocating paedophilia in any way, but the current attitude to offenders, whilst understandable, is not conducive to somebody voluntarily pleading guilty to such crimes.

What's the answer - I simply don't know.

Whilst I would agree they can't help their instincts, I would question whether or not they can help their actions. We all feel like doing this, that or the other but if that something would harm another person, most of us squash down our instincts. Maybe the bit that deals with their self-control ability is seriously faulty?

The Coronation Street actor, William Roache, has come out with a ridiculous statement about sex abuse, I think they should sack the idiot!
