Last Tango in Halifax

Anyone remember this?
Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid.

Just seen they are making a new series after a four year break. Sarah Lancashire will be in it too.

I used to enjoy this, so looking forward to it's return later this year.

Re: Last Tango in Halifax

Despite the title, I haven't visited Halifax. That said, I really enjoyed it! Do you think there might be a part for me .....

An elderly but seductive "other woman"
A jealous and forsaken ex lover
The long-term mistress, content with her life
A gentle and, to her mind, fulfilled woman
Someone who feels she has still to reach her potential

Which part, in a "fairy tale adventure" do you ladies see yourselves playing?

I would be Gillian I fancy driving a beat up old Defender around West Yorkshire a while ....I'd be Caroline swanning around in Harrogate but she is lesbian and I don't fancy that.

Will it really be four years from the last series?? Blimey. I loved every episode, so would be good to see how things are in the family now.

Re: Last Tango in Halifax

I liked it in the beginning. I thought the first few series were brilliant. However - as I remember the focus went away from the old couple & concentrated on their families more.

I found this boring and wasn't interested anymore.

Re: Last Tango in Halifax

Look forward to it as I did enjoy the last series...I suppose the focus will be mainly on the younger Members of the Family this time around as the 2 main actors are in Their 80s now so may not be in every episode.

Carol, I thought the same. I felt it got a bit bizarre and unbelievable.

Even so, l still enjoyed it.
