Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Bit if excitement last evening . Looked out to see 3 small fires in the Gorse on the cliff path . I rang 999 and they responded straight away and they were put out . The fact that the 3 of them seemed to be started almost together looks like some silly beggar started them for fun . Some people !!!!

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Well done Jac, good job you noticed.

Busy day yesterday. We're looking to replace Rob's truck and a company brought a converted Caravelle for us to try, but we couldn't get Rob in properly, too little height inside. Back to the drawing board, they'll bring another model down for us to try. Then we had a big village funeral in the afternoon. The deceased arrived at Chapel on the front bucket of his JCB, driven by his son. Luckily it was a lovely afternoon as there were about a hundred of us stood out in the graveyard. Another old character gone from the village, so sad.

Not such a sunny morning today.
Did a lot in the garden over the weekend-my muscles are letting me know I did too much!
My handyman is power washing my back"yard",it hasn't been done for 2years so it certainly needed it.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Still crossing swords with BT. They say they have reconnected my broadband, but the download speed is so slow, that things are still not coming up on my news feed and the telephone line is full of someone frying bacon! Young lady at Bt advises me to allow until 5 pm this evening to make sure the line has "bedded down" after being sorted. Will probably be back to Bt at 5.05 pm.......

Well hopefully we are sorted with Bt now. Engineer here from 8 am until 10.15 am this morning and he sorted at least two faults. Speed is still on the floor but will have to wait and see for a couple of days to let the line settle down.

Glorious day here - lovely to see the lambs all lying out sunbathing.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Did the grocery run this morning with Chris, calling in at Smithfield tractors for a part for the gator. Washed the bath mats and just about got them dry, they are so heavy they stretch the line. Lovely sunshine but a cold wind.
Jamie washed my car for me (in return for the lemon drizzle cake I made him yesterday. He took me for a ride to inspect some of the new lambs, particularly his Welsh Badger faced - wished I'd had the camera with me.

Chilly wind this morning.
Driving yesterday my car was making an awful noise, realised it was the exhaust pipe.Luckily I was on my way home.Took it to the local garage this morning new exhaust being fitted this afternoon.Another expense I could do without but I'd be lost without my car.
