A good win for the team tonight. Goal number three was brilliant, destined to be the best one for the England team for quite a while.

Have you noticed also that there's no trouble between rival fans? No drunken brawls or mindless vandalism? Funny that.

I watched the USA v France last night. The problem for me was the number of times the ball was given away, passes limited in their success, and the big boot, route one football, beloved of lower league men's teams. I appreciate that it will take time for levels to improve, so hopefully that will get better. On the positive side, little diving, not much spitting, (apart from Cameroon!), much better looking players, and no shirt changing. Hang on, put that last one on hold!
