Re: October 5th

I did buy a ticket when it first started but I soon got fed up of not winning. Nowadays I just get one, but only rarely, when the jackpot is big.

But why buy when the jackpot is big, when there are probably even more people buying tickets? I don't buy tickets at all, but if I did I'd be happy enough to win much less than these obscene jackpots.

I've always thought it ludicrous that they have such huge jackpots. £1million should be maximum. And maybe just let a few more people benefit from winning.

I'm not bothered about winning loads of money for myself but I think of all the good I could do with it.

A million should be the jackpot, with bigger prizes on the way down ....

Just like you Alan, we don't want loads of money, we are OK in that area, but I would love to win for my kids to be stable and want for nothing, and for the worthy people I have earmarked.
But I will say this I have had many a prize, but none big enough to get excited about, I have won many Euro prizes and premium bonds.
If you don't take part obviously you won't win, and you will never know.
I did the pools for years and never had a sniff.

Re: October 5th

I think it would be nice if the top prize was £100,000 think how many happy winners there would be .

I hate the whole concept of the huge prizes, to me it panders to greed.

Hi there Twiz .... the lower prizes were too low - takes ages to get 3 numbers to win a tenner !

Yes, 1st £1mill, 2nd £500,000, 3rd £250,00, 4th £125,000 then £10,000 or something, see a lot more people happy!
