Yes, some of us are retired and expected a 'quiet' retirement but this lockdown situation is far more quiet than that 'quiet'!

Don't know about "Chuck Berry days", after almost complete isolation since mid-February last year, just recently some of the verses of this one are beginning to apply. I leave it to the listener to guess which verses those are:

Art the poodle looks about 6 months old so I don't think there will be puppies any time soon ....
The woman is doing positive reinforcement training in the field I have heard her , she has an acre of garden I wish she would do it there and not monopolise the field for hours

Meg, Perhaps, she doesn’t like poos on her grass?
I hope she’s not too bossy with her puppy!!

Didn't you say ages ago, something about one of your daughter's didn't like dogs so you wouldn't be having another one because you like to go and stay with her?
Have you succumbed?

Hardly anyone reputable is breeding now Art, because they can't travel to the stud dogs, and can't have people in to view the puppies, let alone the ridiculous prices!

I've been offered a Beddie pup, but she wants £2,000 and that half the price of some of them.
It can only be pure greed, because it doesn't cost any more this year to feed and raise a litter than it did last year.

Rant over.

OK thanks, offer accepted. However, I don't somehow think a 200-mile drive "to do my shopping" would be quite as acceptable to "the boys in blue"!

In which case I will just have to take your suggestion Artangel and listen to this one. Although the words "cruising along playing my radio" (the freedom to drive) wouldn't apply nowadays:

Re: It's busy here!

Hi

Very quiet here.

The School is still open, but with the flooding very few kids there.

It is very strange, we have a lovely, dry, sunny day, but rising river levels mean we are cut off.
