Hi

No Critical Care Beds left locally.

You can get moved anywhere which takes hours and even then you only get minimum treatment.

This is not a joke, it is serious.

Everyone who died in Critical Care when I was in Hospital at Christmas was younger than me.

The idiots are still around, we have some on here.

I just seen the "Look into my eyes" ..... distressing but I think most viewers will take a "comfort break" while it's on ..... they know it will never happen to them or their family .....

  • Deaths have fallen but are still high ** .....
  • Hospitalisations remain extremely high ** (as of 21/1) .....
  • Tests have fallen sharply (as of 24/1) .....

* The astounding fall in cases is very encouraging but will it persuade BJ to relax lockdown too soon (again) .....

** Deaths and hospitalisations are still major causes for concern .....

Deaths within 28 days of positive test - Total 98,531

The number of patients on ventilators passes 4,000 for first time - now 4,076, higher than during the first wave.

PM confirms data on easing restrictions will be assessed before mid-February

Speaking at a COVID-19 vaccination site at Barnet Football Club in north London, the PM said: "We're looking at the data as it comes in, we're looking at the rates of infection, as you know the JCVI [Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation] groups 1 to 4 [on the priority list] will be vaccinated by February 15.

"Before then we'll be looking at the potential of relaxing some measures.

"But don't forget this country has made huge progress in reducing infection, I don't think people want to see another big surge in infection."

After some confusion over whether this meant restrictions could be eased by the middle of next month, a Number 10 source told Sky News the PM meant the "looking at" restrictions will happen before then, not the relaxing of measures.
BJ is chafing at the bit again .....
