I agree. I would recognise and know the words to almost any song from the 60s/70s and early 80/s but after that it's all a blur.

I had the mis-fortune to hear the top 20 on the radio the other day. What a pile of *****

Loved Billy Ocean. A sandwich shop near me used to sell a sandwich called Ocean Mix. I always expected a medley of his songs when I opened one.
