Re: Should boxing be banned?

Well they banned cock fighting didn't they?

Yes I think it should be banned. Two grown men deliberately knocking the living daylights out of each other is not sport - give them a ball to play with instead!!

No! Nobody who become a boxer, like myself, is ever forced into it and they/we all know the risks. The thing is to know when to call it a day before any severe damage is done.

Re: Should boxing be banned?

No, it's a sport and many are dangerous, rugby for one, but we surely can't ban sports for that as all it will do is drive it underground. Cock fighting was banned, and rightly so, but people use dogs now instead.
Many things become more attractive to some people because they are banned!!

Re: Should boxing be banned?

Grown ups make choices, and you cannot ban something, which has absolutely no effect on your life, just because you personally don't agree with their choices. Everything in life carries risks but as long as you are prepared to accept them then you should have free choice to do so.
