It really depends on the forum and what parts you look on, in general this site is probably good for people and definitely for people who are maybe a bit isolated or unable to get out, however there are always parts of forums that are bad for your mental health
I think it also depends on the poster as I have seen some posters on a couple of forums who seem unable to handle forum life and end up going a bit postal

Re: Do You Think Posting On A Forum, Is Good For Your Brain?

I think the forum is good for the brain, it keeps our brain active and makes us think for ourselves. There are all walks of life on the forum with some very knowledgeable and talented people, I enjoy reading the knowledge of others and learning something I didn't know about before.

We can have a right laugh on here too which releases good endorphins so that is a real positive for the brain.

Just thinking about answering a post is stimulating and exercising our brain. Social media involves behaviour that may require memory and attention.

The negative thing to come out of the forum such as heated arguments is not so good for the brain as arguing causes stress which isn't good for the brain but luckily this doesn't happen too often, the happy posts far outweigh the bad.

All in all, yeah, it's good for the brain I reckon Art xxx

That's nice, she probably just wants to know if you're still alive. Does she nudge you when you nod off?
