While this is, obviously, not me, it does show my preferred style.

Phwoar! Is so right for him, but mostly clean shaven, though a bit of stubble I'd accept.

Re: Beards or clean shaven

I had a full beard between the ages of about 38 and 50. A few grey hairs in it when I shaved it off. I'm thinking of growing a full beard again. It would be fully grey or white now.

I prefer personality.

Dad had a handlebar 'tache, never saw him clean shaven in all the years I knew him. So I guess if you grow up looking at a 'tache all your life, you get used to seeing one - which makes it's no big deal if someone has one or not, for me anyway.
Thinking about it, I prefer personality over anything every time i think most do unless one is shallow, but initially I wouldn't know their personality and I wouldn't be visually attracted to someone with a straggly unkempt long beard, ugh there might be bits of food in there lol.

I could but it might be more trouble than shaving.

Re: Beards or clean shaven

I agree with LQ, I don’t mind beards as long as they don’t have food in them. Milky porridge is not a good look in long white beards or any other beard for that matter!!

I think to carry off a beard, you have to have nice, striking eyes as they seem to go well together.

Re: Beards or clean shaven

One item of food I always had trouble with was Mr. Whippy ice creams. Could never eat one of those without it getting in the beard.
