I Gave in to Temptation! Is there any hope for me?

There it was, sitting there, a small bag of pure joy.

I picked it up, put it back, picked it up and turned it over and over in my hands.

The thrill was building! Should I?

My heart started to race!

What harm would it do?

Just a small bag, not much in it!

Yes! I will have it!

My hand reached into my purse, such a small price to pay for so much pleasure.

I paid for it! Too late now!

In the privacy of home I took the bag out of my pocket. Got a suitable receptacle ready and tipped out the bag's contents. Such a delightful half hour followed!

Oh the indulgence! I know it's pure greed, I already have a large stash!

50p for a bag of buttons isn't a lot though is it?

Some nice ones too, all sorted into various tins now.

I have a tin of those in my table/needlework box. The table belonged to my late & elderly cousin, who gave it to my late mother, whom I then inherited it from. It still has every item my cousin kept in it, as neither my mother nor I sew, though I do use it sometimes. The buttons are mostly ordinary I think.

I have a box of buttons as well, I still do a lot of knitting so am aye needing buttons. I've seen me buying the most tatty piece of clothing in a charity shop just to get the lovely looking buttons. lol.

They are the only buttons I could ever get excited about.... well, them and blouse buttons of course.
