Italian Mastiffs.

Hi

My brother has a pair.

A rescue pair, taken from drug dealers.

They are huge and seem as nasty as hell.

Once introduced, they calm down and are lovely.

They are fiercely defensive of littlies, they bare their teeth when you get too close.

Give a treat to one of the littlies who gives it to them and they are fine.

Great fun and very reliable.

I am always careful with dogs and littlies.

Never, ever leave them alone together.

These huge Mastiffs have very good parenting skills and do not mind a tug on the ears from a lilletly.

They just mooch away and get out of the way.

Life is life, it it is not iust yesj or No, it a decision.

Hopefully we take the right one,

Huge beasts. My colleague has a Great Dane which is even bigger. His wife can't handle him at nearly 90kg.

Very nice ... but they look rather powerful dogs. I wouldn't want to get between one and his bone.

Good God!
I totally agree with you Muddy.

I thought these dogs were in fact a banned breed in the UK, but having checked, it seems not.

As you say - an accident waiting to happen IMO.

I never heard of that breed. They certainly are a fierce looking creature. Just out of curiosity, are they as dangerous as pit bulls ?

Re: Italian Mastiffs.

Hi

What kind of idiot do you think I am?

Never in the same room together.

The littlies feed them through a stair gate, adults on both sides.

The littlies have great fun and so do the dogs.

The littlies take them for a walk. muzzled.

Muzzles come off when we are back in the house, with a stairgate in between.

The littlies throw doggie treats to them.

Always an adult present and enjoyed by both.
