That's very sweet
One of our Schnauzers Franny brought up a stray kitten.
We found the kitten in a tea chest in the garage, its eyes barely open and we thought a feral cat must have distributed the kittens to help them survive.
We put fed the kitten and put it in a basket near the Aga, Franny who had recently had a litter removed the kitten and suckled it then raised it as she would a puppy.

We called the kitten Thomas T Schnat , he was a real character

My friends cat had kittens & her Golden Retriever would get in their basket every time mummy cat left, those poor kittens spent most of their kittenhood soaking wet, covered in dog licks.
