Am I the only one who hates the word "woke". It's like someone thought of a totally random word and gave it a wholly unrelated meaning.

Dontcha just love it when Sun reporters and luvvie of the day take words and phrases with a history and clear definition from the American English dictionary to create buzzword antonym.

Woke: Black American from 50s/60s meaning awake/aware. Entered the Oxford English Dictionary in 2017, and almost immediately used in the negative.

No, I hate it too but we might as well say it as often as possible so that it quickly becomes old hat and the media moves on to another word.

Buzzword apparently AnnieS, a word or phrase, often an item of jargon, that is fashionable at a particular time or in a particular context.
