I can't help thinking of the Freddie Starr version.

A tiny robot thingy passing right up through inside the femoral artery...brilliant method perfected by a French surgeon Cribier.

Cribier's technique, done under local anesthesia, is minimally invasive by comparison and has far shorter recovery times.

A surgeon or cardiologist accesses the femoral artery with an incision near the groin to insert a catheter fitted with a replacement valve inside a collapsed stent, and a balloon for inflating it.

The new heart valve, once expanded, pushes the old one out of the way and takes over the job of regulating blood flow

Truly, a modern miracle!

Tickled me when he was quoted as saying he wasn't a fan!!
Tis a clever technique ... that's the one they used to seal up my aneurysm ... going in at the groin and travelling around the main artery until they got up to the brain.

When you wake up you can't move off your back for 8 hours and must lie totally still so it doesn't start to bleed.
But the next day apart from heavy bruising to the thigh it doesn't hurt at all.

Still can't help thinking he looks like one of the living dead, though Keith Richards is worse.

He's fit but it looks like to me he dies his hair.Old people shouldn't do that, it makes them look really old.Grey hair suits an old face.Look at Charlie Watts,he looks normal.

Re: A living legend!

At least he hasn't gone prematurely chestnut and morphed into Ken Dodd, like McCartney did some years back.

Mick is awesome, long may he strut his stuff.

Re: A living legend!

Oh wow!!! Just look at him.

I can't help thinking of Rick Parfitt who also had heart surgery. He was doing a bit of jumping about on stage when I went to see the Quo at the Motor-point Arena Nottingham.

Not many months later he was dead.

Take it easy Mick..

Re: A living legend!

re the hair ... there is something about Mick's style that suggests it may not be a wig. Ronnie's, however .....
