D'you remember Chicken Shack warleyron?
Saw them three times - absolutely brilliant.

I did a bit of roadie work years ago and helped out at a pub in North london where a lot of blues bands did gigs - that's how I met Stan Webb from Chicken shack and Fleetwood Mac too,'specially Mick 'cos I was a drummer too so I set-up for him a couple of times at the Kings Arms in Wood Green.
Got a beer for that and free entry - worth-it!!!

How about Duster Bennett, Bakerloo, or the one-and-only Taj Mahal?!!

God I wish I wasn't deaf now!!! stevmk2

Re: Blues

Most of the Blues based bands ive seen had a rock element. Skid Row, Foghat, Groundhogs etc. Captain Beefheart used the blues, but in a very different way, and where would Led Zeppelin be without Willie Dixon.

I do like some of Seasick Steves work

Re: Blues

I've got a couple of Seasicks CDs. Seen all bar Foghat of the bands you mentioned Nom.

I've seen both of these a couple of times(not together)

Re: Blues

Ah blues.

Here is me playing Southern Blues. Very old blues played as a lot of the old blues were with the fingerpicking style. In this I play with metal fingerpicks on.

Re: Blues

Why ain't people putting the actual YouTube video in the forum - quite easy to do? Simply get the part of the YouTube url for the video after the v=

youtube.com/watch?v=AhM4tyL5d6I&feature=youtu.be

this bit AhM4tyL5d6I&feature=youtu.be

Stick it between yt tags - just like the quote tags but this time using yt ...

[ yt ]stick it here[ /yt ]
(added gaps before y and t to allow above to show)

Easy to remember as yt stands for eh - YouTube .
