Re: Clothes Shopping

I buy most of my clothes in House of Fraser when they have a sale on. I prefer classic clothes rather than up to date fashion.

I have to psyche myself up to go clothes shopping as l detest it. I’d rather visit an Art gallery or a Garden Centre than stroke (like women do) clothes on hangers in shops!

Re: Clothes Shopping

I buy very few clothes, the odd jumper, tee shirt, dog walking coats and of course underwear.

In my last job I had to look presentable and bought some lovely Jaeger clothes in their sales which will last me a lifetime.
Some of the skirts are between 15-20 years old and look as good as new. Most are full length and a wool or silk mixture.
I rarely have occasion to wear them now.

I like cotton/linen and wool and don't wear manmade fibres.
My dog walking coats I usually buy on Ebay also from there 'new' 100% woollen or cotton jumpers often end of line Marks/men's/small.

If I want an item for an occasion like a wedding I go for something different like 'Wrap' or 'Poetry' online.

Where were you going by driving through Inverness? I always bypass it on the A9 at the Longmans Roundabout. I wouldn't go into it unless I had to.

Just being Nosy The only place I can think of is the Tourist Trail to Loch Ness. Were you going Monster Hunting?

Before the internet, I also lived in a remote place in which the closest apparel shop was a three hour drive away, and it was something out of the Odyssey to get there. The only shopping I did when I traveled over Christmas or a summer break, I would take an empty suitcase and come back with it full. Forced shopping ugh .

In the interim, my mom would send me a few things...and though it was terribly nice of her....she tended to dress me like an overgrown school girle. .

I'd trade scenery for fashion any day of the week, Roxy. You are doing it right .

Re: Clothes Shopping

You all are a gold mine for websites. I am not too keen on shopping so I've bookmarked all of your suggests for that yearly moment in which I look in the mirror and think....

"You look like a threadbare version of your aging aunt. This has got to stop!"
