I take mine to a team of East European lads - great blokes they are. Do a cracking job including tyre dressing and shammy leathering of paintwork for five quid but I always give them a bit extra.
Ten pounds for a mini-valet and twenty pounds for a full valet. Can't argue with those prices - that's why there's usually a queue to get in.
I’m forever asked in work how my cars are always looking brand new and for anyone interested il give you a tip ..
Back in 2007 buying a new ford I was asked if I wanted the car ‘diamond brited’ ... it’s £500 ... got that ? Five hundred pound ... and they did it , collected the car and as I actually enjoy polishing /washing cars etc a week or so later I went to wax it only to find the wax wouldn’t stick !!
For the three years I had the car all I did was wash it and it looked like new when I sold it !
I then looked into diamond brite and bought some myself , I have several cars including a landrover defender which I off road a lot ... on goes the diamond and again all I can ever do is wash it now and it looks amazing ..
So I thought I wonder if it will work on a boat ? I’d just bought a brand new boat so being fibreglass gelcoat again I obtained some and took all weekend doing the entire boat , think about it , it’s in the water, salt water , friction against the hull at speed etc , out in all weathers yet even now a few years later I drag my boat out the water and the hull is bone dry instantly !!
Now £500 was the ford price and granted they applied it and scotch guarded the seats etc but the exact same stuff is available on eBay for a few pound .. I buy /sell many cars and forever use it for that new car shine that lasts and I joke not FOR SIX YEARS .. that’s right , apply it once and simply wash the car in future , rain, dirt etc for the most part never sticks anyway and what does simply wash n go ... some things you hear about and think too good to be true and it makes not a jot of difference to me if you buy some yourselves or ignore it however as the thread was here I thought I’d mention it ( for those of you that use rain X then it’s the same effect but all over your car )
And for alloy wheel cleaners I can’t recommend this stuff enough ... stunning performer ... look at my wheels , diamond brite from new and then wheel cleaner /jet wash ... spotless as new wheels as you can see , a quick blast up my exhaust and even that is squeaky clean !!!
Most dealers will try to flog you add ons, especially with a new car, just remember, they’re on commission, diamondbrite being just one, you can often find stuff cheaper, as marmaduke did..
They do
But don't say the words Immigration Officer
Or there'll be no-one left to wash your car
ha that's true. There was one I used to go to that was regularly being raided but they did a really good job. Shame really, the council has got rid of them now.
