They speak and work for us?

How on earth can anyone trust people like these on the links below to represent them or be seen as a good example for our young people?

It’s not just what they are doing, or not doing, it’s the sheer arrogance and attitude they display, this really defies belief!

It’s beyond me and here in Cambridgeshire it seems we have at least two. I wonder just how much more of this will be revealed in time?

How can this councillor represent his constituents? He should represent his constituents in Cambridgeshire but lives 400 miles away in Scotland:

That same one councillor refused to give up pay when others took three day’s unpaid leave over Christmas:

MP jailed for lying to police will not give up either. I expect we’ve all heard about this on the news and seen the arrogance displayed:

It’s way past time I believe for a complete reform of our political system, both nationally and locally. While I accept that not all political figures are like this, there will be those who act as they should. However, this country cannot continue in this way, it’s simply not possible to have this kind of thing going on and retain any credibility.

What would be your comments on this?

Well to be honest listening to am MP (his name escapes me at the moment) yesterday saying it was for the MPs to lead us and we should be doing what they say not them doing what we say really said it all to me. Arrogant, corrupt, Liars, so many ways to describe many of them, The decent ones are out numbered 10 to 1 and they take our money and do exactly what they want. Someone even said it was madness not to just let Teresa May make whatever deal she wanted it wasn't for anyone else to get involved ! That IMO is a dictatorship not a democracy.

Absolutely true Baz and Julie, our political system is more corrupt than any African country. At least in Africa it's out in the open while here the 'old boys network' have got it completely sewn up with the help of Sky and the BBC...
The EU Gravy Train spreads far and wide....

Have you any more examples?

There is already a separate thread for each of those quoted:

The cancer of corruption is global.

https://www.transparency.org.uk/corr...than-a-cancer/

On a visit to Afghanistan, village elders told David Cameron (remember him) this:
Although they had an elected government it didn’t have the confidence of the people. the reason so many people still turned to the Taliban…

…was that, amazingly, they believed that violent, repressive, murderous organisation was better at dispensing justice and ensuring order than their government. It was, in their view, less corrupt.

No, it's because an elected government in a predominantly islamic country has no say in the creation of laws, much more about the allocation and management of contracts et al.

Re: They speak and work for us?

The process of reform has already begun, there is a resolution to abolish the House of Lords, to be replaced with a directly elected second chamber. What is also needed is to convert (representative) MPs into Delegates. Coupled with that, and the abolition of the House of Lords, we can also dispense with the Monarch and all the acolytes to be replaced with just one [person - a President - also chosen by direct elections.

Oh my life, imagine having Blair as president and all the additional power that he would then have.

The evil SOB broke Britain socially economically and politically as it was

As for The Upper House, the advantages to retain a second chamber on PRECISELY the same legislative basis is overwhelming.

Yes, we need to get rid of the House of Lords so May et al can't promote her useless scumbag 'nasty party' rejects into yet another trough.
Just curious, why resort to personal insults?

Stupid I may be, though my academic qualifications and CV could be interpreted as indicating otherwise (just don't ask my wife!) but sodomite?

No.

As I wrote, just curious.
