Its wheat -like so pasta-like ....if you want to trial it M and S do little pots of it with added ooomph ( like chilli, basil etc) in their salad area.

Tesco make it into patties (burgers) which is nicest way I have found to eat it. Less than a pound each burger too so not too much to spend if you find it's not for you.

Check out Quinoa on the internet - see what is happening about this crop and what problems it is creating.

People are now starving to death because this is one of the most recent, trendy things for those that keep abreast of these daft, world-wide food fads.

The ordinary lower class Bolivians relied heavily on Quinoa to survive but now it is too expensive for them. stevmk2

I'm not very adventurous with this type of foodstuff and haven't even tried bulgar wheat.

Meat and veg for me. Certainly no salads.
