Re: Trying to turn £2 into £1000

Betting is a mugs game what ever form it takes. if you add up how much spent against winnings and you would be that much poorer. where do you think all these betting shops get their money from to keep them open?

Surprisingly, I have no hobbies at all, never have had !
Other than my computer and iPad, my webpages and forum participations that is, which costs hardly anything at all.
However, I do like to drive a good car, presently a Jaguar !

More money going out of the country to the Indian owners. Jaguars are actually Mondeos in drag anyway, don't buy Jaguar parts for it, will cost you an arm and a leg.

Why poke your nose into my thread then? Go and count your beans elsewhere.

Re: Trying to turn £2 into £1000

I also don't gamble, not even the lottery.
But a few years ago I came across a program for horse racing.
Just for fun I played around with it without putting any money on the results.
I was surprised that it gave results, and I soon learnt how and what races gave the best results.
So I did start to put money on some of the results. Yes I won.
But for the time spent on the program, and the money I won, I could earn much more with my full time self employed job.
I was not tempted to place big money. Yes I am a coward where gambling is concerned.
There are always more losers than winners.
