Podcasts and a Request to Mods

My daughter and I are about to undertake one of our marathon trips (medical, visit to my mom, side trips) across the country.

While we manage to talk our way through about 2K of it, we have both discovered podcasts to while away the hours..

Do you listen to them? Are there that you recommend?

To the mods, I am wondering whether or not we could hop into the 21st century to add a category that might include podcasts and audio books? The younger generation would be so terribly proud of us .

Good idea, Surfermom. Let's get up to date in here. It isn't just the young who are wanting the latest tech nowadays, hence us oldies being on this digital forum

I have only listened to one audio book and knowing that you like your music, I can highly recommend the Bruce Springsteen autobiography 'Born To Run'.
The difference with this one is that he actually narrates the whole book himself and it makes a wonderful read/listen from this most genuine and honest of singer-songwriters.


I do hope your latest journey is a good one and that your daughter continues making progress with her condition

I love Audio Books, been listening to them for years. On the computer while I do Jigsaws, in the den while I knit, on a long car journey, and if I'm on my own then I have an early night and curl up in bed to listen, especially in the Winter.

I love audio books - always have one on when I am 'crafting' and often listen to them when I go to bed. Martin Shaw regularly reads me to sleep - Bliss!

OK then, how about you podcast listeners please help us computer illiterate by telling us, pretty please, how do you listen to podcasts and what is the procedure for doing it?

It's modern day internet speak for 'radio broadcast', SSG. Same thing but digital.
