Words out of my heart donks. Trade without tarif is possible only when production costs for food and/manufacture costs between countries are stratified (the same). In essence, when we live in a socialist world. I didn't know you were such a labour supporter, but I congratulate you on your wisdom!

Donkeyman! 😁😁
And £1 gets you a penny if there is no demand for the ECJ to act as arbiter in any trade dispute between the EU and Japan either.

Flattery will get you nowhere Solly !
But how can a person who preaches market forces be a socialist??
I would describe my philosophy as more a conervative socialist??
Does that make sense to you??

Donkeyman! 👍😁👍

SA wine is €10/bottle here. Not that expensive.

Japan and EU could ask northern irelands judges as independent arbiters. As apparent from the ireland protocol in the WA the judiciary there keeps fully conversant with EU law.

The tunnel has entered the brexit arena.

You do know that the Eurotunnel already has a smart border ?

The Guardian are manufacturing outrage again - both French and British trains have operated under the same licenses for decades. Mutual recognition would solve this in an hour.

Nothing to see here .... just more remain nonsense from the Kensington Gazette.

Indeed! UK only need to recognize the jurisdiction of the ECJ on this.

Simply not true.

We already have mutual recognition with other countries outside the EU, all over the world. For example, I can rent a car in the USA with my existing driving license and not have to take a driving test in the USA and obtain a USA driving license. It works the other way too.

Now we have left the EU we can continue to rent cars in the USA with our existing EU licenses and new UK ones will be treated the same - it will be the same for the USA wanting to rent cars here.

Agreed. Regarding driving licences, when I went to work in Italy in 1984 (well before such things were harmonised I might add), I was told by the HR dept that I had to have an Italian driving licence so, I gave up my UK licence and within days had a spanking new Italian one in my wallet. Didn't cost me a penny more than the annual renewal tax on driving licences . When I returned to the UK, I simply handed in my Italian licence and it was replaced with a UK one.
