Re: OAP homes for dogs
What a nice idea and it must make the old people feel so much better knowing that their pets are being looked after .Re: OAP homes for dogs
What I think is a pity that care homes don't have a kennels attached where elderly residents pets could live too.Re: OAP homes for dogs
Not sure about this. It may suit some but many old dogs have been the only pet, so could find it very traumatic to lose not only their owner but then being put among other dogs in unfamiliar surroundings.Re: OAP homes for dogs
I think you've got a point solo. One of mine won't go for a walk with anyone else but me, and doesn't like strange dogs round her either. She would not be happy at all in communal situation, even though she lives with 4 others at the moment. She's fine with the dogs she's grown up with, but would be very unhappy with strange dogs. She would be better off being PTS if anything happened to me, as I don't think she would ever settle elsewhere. Young Nellie however, would be in paradise and play from the minute her eyes opened in the mornings.Re: OAP homes for dogs
