Brexit - Public's Views

Since only 27% of the UK population voted to Leave the EU, it seems right that the remaining 73% should have a say in what sort of UK we want the government to secure for the country.
There seems to be no way that their wishes can be lodged.
Does anyone now of a forum (or other mechanism) where the public can actually have a voice?

Re: Brexit - Public's Views

Decision has been made now and from latest polls it seems the number just want to get on with it and get out are growing daily. Remain voters seeing that it's not going to stop and won't be as bad as was suggested.

I'm not sure any forum will have any influence.

If people really hadn't wanted to leave then they should have voted and made sure the campaigns had encouraged everyone to do so.

Hi

I keep seeing this 27% bandied about, which includes babies and children.

It is an irrelevant figure.

Everyone who is entitled to vote had the opportunity of voting.

Not everyone bothered, but of those who did bother a majority voted to leave.

That is democracy.

It will eventually I believe. I'm not sure anyone believes it's a quick fix but anything worth it rarely is.

I would say, since 100% of people, of legal age, had voting rights. If they wanted to secure a vote to remain, why didn't they bother to vote?

We'll see eventually, it's certainly a jump into the unknown. I'm a glass half full person I won't believe we can't do it until it is proved.

I approve of Brexit, the sooner it happens the better.

Jez you can say whatever you like but the decision of what we do or don't get when we leave the EU is largely going to be down to the EU member states who will set the agenda.
Do your really think they are going to listen to UK residents

Our government will negotiate about whatever is on the table then take or leave it .
So if you want to say what kind of Britain you want maybe go over to the EU Parliament and state it to a few un elected EU bureaucrats who currently have a big say in our lives and over whom we have no control.
