Apparently it has it's own amplifier and can be connected directly to speakers. It also has a tuner so can be a stand alone unit and replace not just towers full of CD's, but also a radio as well.....I'm tempted...
Sounds interesting bud. I actually spent around two years copying all of my CDs onto mp3 format a few years ago and I'm talking upwards of 6,000 at that time, including typing out manually the track lists of each one. Everything is stored alphabetically plus by genre on a 2TB external hard drive and I can find them instantly.
With DVDs I'm not that bothered as I'll only watch a film once every 10 years or so, so I'll probably sell tghe current lot and start again - keeping some favourties of course
