Fabulous Day Out.

Yesterday I went with a friend to a Christmas Fair at York Race Course. It was hosted by the magazine "Living North". They run it every year but this was the first time I had been.

It was brilliant. Chefs giving demonstrations - and tasters! Lots of artists with the most stunning pictures. Blown Glass ornaments, Christmas gifts galore, and an amazing 'food hall' filled with local produce. Artisan breads, Hand made chocolates - five floors to explore!

Bought some Christmas gifts - also some beautiful coffee mugs and coasters with lovely Hares on them. Came home tired, broke, but happy.

Oh - almost forgot - there was a stall selling Snowdonia cheeses - somehow six truckles and a jar of chutney just happened to leap into my shopping bag! I love Snowdonia products.

It is on until Sunday so if any of you live near enough I can recommend a visit.

Re: Fabulous Day Out.

Good you enjoyed it, Silver Tabby.
Last year we went to the Christmas fair at Westpoint Exeter. It was heaving & there were lots of food & drink to sample. I bought some presents too. This year can't go, got other things to do. We also went to go to the Dame Hannah's Christmas fair, but couldn't park, that was even busier So we gave up & went into Newton Abbot instead.
