Went back for a short trip 2005.

What a hole it had become. Dirty, rude people, VERY overpriced and the hotel that we stayed in, supposedly one of the best and mega costly, smelled of stale piddle in every room.

We travelled to the place by sea but that was so bad, it was like a cattle boat, we 'ate' the return ticket and flew instead. No doubt if BREXIT results in their reliance on tax dodgers and very iffy financial services crapping out the Manx government will be coming cap in hand begging to be bailed out.
