Aches and Pains

Just wondering - do you get any aches and pains?
  1. When did they start?
  2. How often do you get them?
  3. Are they becoming more frequent as you get older?

I prefer not to linger on them. Doesn't make them go away and compared with the pain my husband has daily seems churlish to mention them.

Re: Aches and Pains

I get a lot of lower back pain due to a trapped nerve which is treated by taking co codomol and anti inflammatories.
I have to be very aware of my back at all times as it is likely to go into a spasm anytime. I suppose it doesn't help that I have Scoliosis. Was diagnosed this in my teens.

For the last few years I have been getting pains in my leg, have seen a doctor and was told "you've got to expect these pains when you get older" No other explanation!

Yes, the pains are getting more frequent as I get older but I put that down to lack of exercise .... not for want of trying though

As Patsy and Julie have said, you don't dwell on it, you just get on with things as best you can or you would make yourself thoroughly miserable.

I count myself as one of the lucky ones.
I am fit and active and as yet have no aches and pains on a regular basis.

Re: Aches and Pains

More than a few, caused by work, health, and some from lifestyle and just a few from bad luck.

Some are daily, others intermittent, most just sink into the background of my life, and rear there ugly heads to remind me from time to time.

In the cold and/or wet, most of the time. My knees ache, my hips ache - due to chronic arthritis, notwithstanding both hips and both knees have been surgically replaced with titanium implants.

Re: Aches and Pains

Got a few more than I used to have, mainly lower back, and lower legs, but having the animals to look after keeps me going. There are no doubt a lot worse off than me. At least I can still get out independently, some can't.
