Re: Boy, 6, 'thrown from 10th floor' of Tate Modern

I think the main factor is that he was dangerous, not the fact that he had a mental illness. He should never have been in a public place whether escorted or not, he should be in a secure hospital. The so called carers are just as much to blame for thinking they could control this nut job in public.

Quite but have you ever seen some carers?
I visited a secure unit once and was not impressed by the staff .
They are not the brightest of people .
Most are untrained .
It’s unpleasant low paid work who would want to look after a dangerous violent teenager ?

Has he (the perpetrator) been confirmed as a nutjob or is it just pure speculation and unverified claims at this time?

As he lives in a secure unit and has carers I imagine he is not sane .
Sane people don’t throw children off buildings .

This man should not have been in a public place. Clearly a mistake. No doubt an enquiry will give details, was he on a rehabilitation programme, and the usual lessons will be learned.

Those responsible for his presence at Tate Gallery, will not be held to account.

I think I read somewhere that the nutter and the mother of the child were both French. Does that suggest that the two knew each other and even that the nutter followed the woman from France to London?

In any event, I can well believe what you say about 'carers' and the whole system of how these 'mentally challenged' people are dealt with. I think the same goes for social workers, they all seem to be of a type.

The big problem, I think, is the power and influence possessed by our 'apologists', who have also obtained five-star standards for prisoners! It is since they took over from the more hard line system of years gone by that much of these sort of problems have become more prevalent.

.
You think you read it somewhere that he was French ? That goes against what's been reported so far that I have seen .

An ex career of his has stated he is dangerous ?
Would this news have come from France also ?

https://news.sky.com/story/tate-mode...court-11778642

On Tuesday, a 17-year-old boy appeared at Bromley Youth Court charged with attempted murder.

The teen, who cannot be named for legal reasons, wore a grey jumper and spoke to confirm his name, address, date of birth and nationality as British at the short court hearing.
