Re: EU...IN or OUT?

Dopey Dave, as you so delicately put it could not refuse anything JBR. Its Parliament who would do that, all of them, including Labour. If they show up.

Re: EU...IN or OUT?

If as I expect there could be a vast majority for Brexit, parliament would not dare to say stay.
There would be uprisings in the villages and crofts. The plebs and Chavs would be rioting, as would be a few others.

I'm not so sure that wouldn't be a good idea.

Re: EU...IN or OUT?

I like the way all the idiots left it till last minute last night to register for a vote, have now been given a second chance by Cameron to get their register in.
I think, he thinks by doing this there'll be more voters on his side!
On a downer for him, serve him right if the late comers all voted against! lol.
he's banking on all the young 'uns to vote stay in.

Yes I was aghast at that, if they couldn't get it together to register before the last minute why give them another chance ?

Re: EU...IN or OUT?

The present 'first past the post' voting system has been discussed on here (I think!) and suggestions made that a proportional representation system would be preferable.
I have just received an e-mail from Change.org stating that a formal request had been sent to David Cameron asking for PR, but has not received any coherent response (surprise, surprise). They are asking for interested people to sign an open letter to continue to demand PR, which I have signed. If anyone else is interested in adding their name, please visit:
