on screen icon, delete

I have an icon that comes on the right hand side of the screen every time I switch on, I would like to delete it for ever.
The most I can do is right click and it says exit, I do this and it go's until next time I switch on.
If I open the icon this is what it says, from left to right,
Log off------Lock-----Restart-----sleep-----shut down.
At the very top is written, LENOVO Veritouch.
This will be the name of my computer.
I have suspicion it is not a icon but something that the makers have put there (Lenovo), I am running win 7.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to remove this, I have looked in the start up folder but not there.

have you tried searching files on your pc?

Just drag and drop it into the recycle bin... or if you don't need/use the feaure then...

Go to "add/remove" programs or "programs and features" and uninstall the program associated with it.

It will not move, I tried dragging it but just stays put.
I have tried searching files but only can find Lenovo touch screen.
I tried right click and it just says exit but after that it comes back after I switch off/ on.
I have lived with it for over 3 years but would like to get rid of it.
I will try and do a screen capture of it, this may take some time.

have you tried asking the Lenova community? someone will probably be able to help you

Its on the far right but only got half of it, under the clock.

Have you tried

Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a program

Then look down the list for Lenovo Veri wotsit then select it and click 'uninstall'

Too many manufacturers add rubbish to your computer that you don't need or want. Phone manufacturers are the worst though filling up the memory with their own versions of stuff you can't delete.

I did a test on this and what i did was
click on start
Click on computor
Click on Desk Top
And all that is on your DT will show up ..
Click on the icon and delete.
