Computers Taking Over?

There is growing unrest about computers becoming too intelligent for our own good. Here is another situation where the computer takes on the roll of an innovator. It is quite creepy really watching this computer at work but the creepiest part is how rapidly computers are advancing.

Re: Computers Taking Over?

I'm not surprised there is growing unrest, and I'll bet those most concerned are those in powerful positions.
Intelligent computers couldn’t be any creepier than the creeps we call politicians, at least with computers you can pull the plug and put in a program to suit the people, besides you cannot make a computer that is sly and breaks promises. Maybe there was something true in the old testament after all telling us Moses got the laws from a burning bush, he sure didn’t get them 10 laws from a politician.
I would sooner obey a computer loaded with all the laws of all the democratic countries, one that could make itself corruption proof to ensure everyone gets a fair deal, that would be good for everyone, bring on the computer leaders.

Re: Computers Taking Over?

Computers control such a large part of our everyday lives now that the real danger would be take-over by hackers, and major break-down of core systems. There doesn´t appear to be any plan B if things go horribly wrong.
