Biblical Cake

I thought that this recipe might be worth sharing. Lets see if any of you can make it. Right click on the image, open in a new window, and it will be readable.

Re: Biblical Cake

Very good, I might try that instead of making a Christmas cake! Just imagine my guests all sat at the table with their hands together!

If you have translated the recipe, then you will realise that it will work very nicely as a Christmas cake. One thing to beware of though is the fact that the recipe will be slightly wrong if its taken from the text of a bible printed after the early 1920's.

Re: Biblical Cake

I suppose it says something about me that when I moved, among the few books I had room for were the unabridged dictionary, Bartlett's, .
Roget's Thesaurus, the plant encyclopedia ..... and not the Bible.

I think it was probably printed after 1920 anyway

Is anyone going to print the verses?

Re: Biblical Cake

I've not got access to the verses any more, but if someone will post them, I'll check and then post the correct answers later.

If there are any members with foreign language bibles, I hope they will post translations as well...it should be quite amusing in some cases!
