Re: Time Keeping.

I would rather be half an hour early than one minute late. What is more - I do not wait more than 5mins for those that are late.

Re: Time Keeping.

What annoys me a little is when hospital appointments say 'please arrive 15 minutes early'. Erm, I would have done anyway, but why tell me my appointment is 10.30 when actually it's 10.15?

Re: Time Keeping.

How many of you still wear watches?

Stopped wearing mine over a decade ago and relied on school clocks at work and my phone for the rest of the time (no pun intended).

I always arrive early unless there is an unexpected hold up.

I always wear a watch too.

Re: Time Keeping.

I am always a tad early to an appointment. Especially so when I was dating and I was to meet a lady.

However, where I live, in Mexico, time means absolutely nothing to these people. They seem to regard a watch as just another piece of jewelry and a wall clock as some sort of decoration.

When a Mexican says he/she will be there at , say, 2 pm, what he/she really means is he/she MIGHT make it today.

Just one more reason why Mexico will always be a 3rd world nation.

Re: Time Keeping.

Always been a good time keeper, it was drummed into me at an early age by my mother who was always meeting someone or other. Boy did she fume when kept waiting. These days there's no excuse as a quick call or text to say your running late and what time you will actually arrive.

When I was married to a Filipina, she was never, not once, on time to meet me. Example: I would often phone her at work and ask her if she would like to eat dinner at such and such a restaurant? If we supposed to meet at 6 pm, she never made it before 6:45.
Once, just to see what would happen, I waited in the car, not inside the restaurant. She showed up, late as usual. She entered the restaurant, glanced around, and , of course, did not see me. She spun on her heel and promptly left.
