It is a shame.

He had a small part in one episode of "To The Manor Born" as a railway director when they were thinking about closing the local train station and turning it into a supermarket owned by Richard Devere.

I remember him from the 1950's and 60's on TV. He was the dashing Doctor in Emergency Ward 10 and he was really handsome then. I think we always wanted a Doctor who looked like Richard. RIP.
