Re: Earthquake in Washington!

LOL, Joe, I am NOT a subscriber to Mr, Bond's theory: in this house martinis are always stirred, never shaken!

Re: Earthquake in Washington!

Hi Eileen you and Leia make sure you stay safe with hurricane Irene approaching .
They have just said on the news the US Navy is moving the 2nd fleet from Norfolk in preparation.

You certainly are having your share of the elements on the East coast this week.

Hmmmmmm - obeying the sterling rule - always seek more sea room. Obviously the Fleet commander doesn't want any of the ships under his command to be swept aground.

Re: Earthquake in Washington!

Thanks, Meg! Yes, this hasn't been one of the better weeks for weather. Yes, the Navy does that when one of these bad storms is coming. The latest projection is bringing a bit closer to the coast, so we'll probably get high winds and rain here in the City, but not as bad as the Atlantic beaches.

Re: Earthquake in Washington!

Thanks, Annie! There's a hoary saying about Washington weather, if you don't like it, just wait, it will change! We're having on and off rain, 20 minutes ago it was bucketing down again, now the sun is trying to come out.
